I had a fantastic stay at a boutique B&B in this quaint little town. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and provided excellent local restaurant recommendations. The location was ideal, with a bus service right outside the door and the option to take a leisurely walk along quiet lanes. Close to Gunthorpe lock, it was a lovely spot for a stroll along the riverbank.

Gonalston Boutique B&B is a fantastic place to stay. The location is ideal, close to Gunthorpe lock for a scenic stroll along the river bank. The rooms are clean, modern, and well equipped, including a microwave and ample storage space. The hostess, Perry, is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast is delicious, with a choice of a cooked meal or a lighter option. The courtyard garden provides a peaceful atmosphere. The B&B also offers parking and a separate dining area.
Some electrical sockets and switches were poorly located, but this is being addressed in upcoming renovations.
